2011 CEA Charity: The California Escrow Association Miriam Schwarz Benevolent Fund
CEA President, Rosanna Medeiros, has selected CEA's own Miriam Schwarz Benevolent Fund as the 2011 Charity. This fund was established in 1976 to aid CEA members who have experienced a catastrophic accident or illness.

Miriam Schwarz was the victim of an accident that left her pinned all night off the road under the steering wheel of her car. Miriam Schwarz vowed during the many months of her hospitalization and therapy to do something to show her appreciation to friends and fellow members for the spontaneous help that came her way during that trying time. In 1976, the association was presented a $1,000 contribution from Miriam Schwarz to establish a benevolent fund for members. The association executive committee later voted to name the fund in honor of Ms. Schwarz.

CEA has received numerous requests as of late for assistance from the Miriam Schwarz Benevolent Fund. In an effort to help our members who have experienced a catastrophic accident or illness, the Benevolent Fund needs financial support. If you would like to support the fund, please send a check, made payable to CEA Miriam Schwarz Benevolent Fund, and mail it to CEA Headquarters, 2520 Venture Oaks Way, Suite 150, Sacramento, CA 95833. Thank you!
